For the current generation of children, we refer to them as Digital Natives. They will come into contact with many digital products. But most of them are geared towards adults. They are boring and require a certain level of technical knowledge to use, posing safety risks for children.
Existing operating systems designed for children are not yet fully developed and require further development and improvement to better meet their needs and protect their safety.

Based on user research data, children's usage habits are basically formed. Therefore, we did not adopt a radical layout approach. The layout design of PaiOS desktop launcher follows a classic layout.

When the lock screen enters the desktop, most of the animations were used with spring animations to make the overall effect more interesting. Due to the limitation of early development resources investment and the weakness of Android in animation performance at that time, it was difficult to realize in the first version of the system. After Android launched SpringAnimation in 2017, the design team and development followed up in time and completed the update.

The lock screen is the first interface for kids to use the tablet every day. It provides kids with daily message reminder functions, including time and message reminders.
There are many differences between children and adults when using the interface. Younger children still can't have a clear understanding of message reminders, so we give flexible settings to the message reminder function. For younger children, parents can choose the time mode, which only displays the specific time and blocks other message content.

In the user research, we found that children's ability to operate tablet gestures is beyond ordinary people's cognition, and they can skillfully use gestures to operate.
Since children are proficient in using the tablets currently in the market, out of consideration for learning costs, we have continued to use familiar interaction methods.

Most of the options leaned too heavily towards a technological feel, while neglecting the emotional needs of companionship. After conducting user research, most families preferred a more emotional design approach.
Pai is the ai voice assistant of the PaiPad tablet operating system. Starting from the concepts of fun, originality, and technology, we considered many design options at the beginning of the design phase. This is the best team I've encountered. The product team went through two years, with countless imaginative ideas along the way, aiming to provide children with a refreshing gift.
After the product was launched at the end of 2016, we received feedback from numerous users. In 2017, the team began optimizing various aspects of the system. However, due to a shift in the company's development direction, subsequent products were not launched after the first generation.
This is the best team I've encountered. The product team went through two years, with countless imaginative ideas along the way, aiming to provide children with a refreshing gift.
